This guitar is a modern classic. During the 90’s Squier and its parent company Fender were producing amazingly high quality guitars out of their Japanese factories. These guitars are thought to be as good and in some cases better than anything else Fender produced in this period. The Vista Series Jagmaster was the first of its kind, and in the original 1996 production the guitars were made from Fender parts, as an experiment to see how the model sold. These early models, only produced over 1 year, are now highly sought after and very rare.

Squier recently released some new Vintage Modified Basses and we have started to see them come through the door.

The first one to come out of its box is a beautiful Jaguar Bass. Main features are a Duncan Designed™ Precision Bass (middle) and hot Jazz Bass (bridge) pickups, ’62 Jazz Bass stacked concentric volume/tone controls, one-piece maple neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with block inlays, and three-ply tortoise/white/black pickguard. Parking in Ickenham

After nearly 18-months of negotiations we have a new parking scheme in Ickenham.

Great news because many customers have found it difficult to find a space within a reasonable distance of the shop in the past. Now you can only park for a maximum of 2 hours in an effort to stop commuters from using Ickenham as a free lot when they get the train into London.

The scheme has been going for about 3 weeks and we have already had lots of people in the shop telling us how much easier it is to park.

The late great Dimebag Darrell, one time guitarist for the band Pantera and later Damageplan, was Uzzied on stage in Ohio. Dimebag had and still has a massive following and will be around for a long time to come. His guitar manufacturer, Dean guitars, have brought out a complete range of tribute guitars to keep his memory alive.

The mahogany body and neck are covered in the familiar blue finish, with the legendary lightning bolts on the top. A Bill Lawrence L500XL pickup in the bridge position and Dean humbucker at the neck take you from screeching metal lead tones to crunchy rhythm sounds with a flick of the 3-way toggle.

Gary Moore owns an Ozark 3515BTE thinline resonator and used it for his first-ever acoustic blues track on record. His Ozark guitar can be heard on the track 'Sundown' on his latest album: 'Close as You Get'. "I used an Ozark resonator that I bought in a little store about two minutes from my house in Hove," Moore explains. "The guy said to me, 'Try this little Ozark...they sound great'. I really liked it, so I bought it on the spot and took it home. This was just before Christmas and I ended up sitting home playing it around Christmas to people in the house. I love the way if you hit it a little harder it gets twice as loud. It's really dynamic - if you dig into it it just suddenly shouts at you and the sound gets really loud. The weight is there, but it's got a much skinnier body than most resonators, so you can hold it much closer to you and it's not cumbersome to use."
